I bought a Catalina 27 1980. With its large campanionway, there does not leave much room on deck to lead lines aft. I am looking for some links or images of efficient and/or creative design layouts.

thank you

It would seem to depend on what you want to lead back. Can you give us an idea of that, how many lines? Stacked deck organizers and sheetstoppers are usually the answer.

About 5 Lines. Jib, main halyards, 1st and 2nd reef lines, and cunningham.
I have 2 double line deck organizers, a triple clutch and a single winch.

My issue is the narrow corridor between each side of the companionway. Should I install some type of teak riser which the deck organizer can lay on?

I've uploaded a picture of the deck.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. thank you

Can you put the deck organizer at the edge of the cabin roof and then run them back from there. I haven't look at mine yet I am still just trying to get the mast up.

didnt think of that (cabinroof). I was trying to get the lines to the side of the campanionway first before leading them aft. With your suggestion, I'll see if the lines rub too much against the cabinroof as it leads diagonally and then past the teak rail towards the back. If its not too bad, then I may set it up that way.
thanks Caguy
