My vote is KaChing!

Read Michael O's boat name "KaChing!" and couldn't stop laughing! If one properly maintains ones boat and adds the items it should have KaChing is very appropriate. Debated whether to tell my wife about it cuz I know her opinion.

Damfino

was the name of Buster Keaton's ill-fated motor yacht in a short feature. It is also the name of his official fan club.

Best boat name contest.

Our boat had a horrible name, so we had to do something about it. Well, we gave her the name of the village in Holland where we had our first HOT weekend after me and my wife met. Which was Zonnemaire, in the provence of Zeeland. A beutifull little village, where we had a cottage rented and almost next door there was a little pub which had the biggest collection of Jazz-music I've ever seen. A great and Sticky weekend that was, AND we're still merried. So we called "Zonnemaire"

AftICU

AFTICA gives me the idea for a name: AftICU (in the spirit of Mark Smith's BLEWBYU)

Sails Call

For at least a few more years, I'm a training consultant and account exec. There's a boat in my marina named "Sails Call." I think I should buy her so I can tell my director that I'll be spending the afternoon on a _______________ . Tom Monroe Carlyle Lake

Contest Open?

Not sure if this contest is open still. I was away on vacation for a week on my Hunter. Anyway the name of our boat is Gemini Star. My husband couldn't afford diamond earrings for me when we got married and I always wanted them. He told me the two stars in the sky (Gemini stars) were my diamonds. The Christmas he gave me the earrings I gave him sailing lessons and we were both surprised and overjoyed! So if the contest is still running I'd like to add "Gemini Star".

Boat Name Game

The new leasing "safeharbor" tax laws of the mid '80's were a time when the leasing business was in good shape and we made some real money. I was into sailing and used my bonus $ to buy my 28.5Hunter "SAFEHARBOR" ....cause that's where I go to forget about work for a while. ;>

The name of our boat is "Serenity Now!" after one episode of one of our favorite shows Sienfeld. A picture is here http://catalina36.org/Serenity%20Now%20-%20lettering.jpg

ExFed

I saw a boat in Palmetto, FL owned by a retired F.B.I agent. The name was ExFed written in the style letters of FedEX the overnight delivery service. Always thought that was clever.

Tender name" Justice"

Our Catalina 27 is named Liberty. After I built a new dinghy for her, we struggled with a name, until I could no longer ignore the phrase that kept running though my head, "liberty and justice for all".

CalamityAnnie

We bought a used Hunter 30 (1979) about a year ago and are going through a total renovation, including new engine, paint, etc. The previous name was "Magic Moments" which we found rather unappealing. Naturally, I wanted to name the boat for my wife, Karen. Her nickname is Calamity Annie, named after a couple of famous cowgirls of the old west, and their ability to shoot straight. Well, here's the question. Is "Calamity Annie" a good name, or is this tempting fate? Naturally, we plan to go through a name change ceremony as tradition and the law of the sea would dictate whe we splash the boat in a couple of months. What do you think? Jim

Can't Credit Me With KaChing!
