Hi all,
I bought a used 2006 Catalina 28 MkII. My manual states I have 2 batteries. My boat has three. One is under the port salon seat, the second is in the engine compartment but is only a 32 Amp, group U1 battery and the third appears to have been moved to under the aft birth starboard storage. It appears that the aft battery does not belong in that area. I am thinking it might have been moved to accomodate a macerater for the holding tank. Is it standard for the engine to have a small battery dedicated as a starting battery? There is little room between the battery housing and the belt on the engine. I don't know what was the standard design. Thoughts?
