Hi, I have a "unique" problem with the battery charger on my C27. It never stops charging the batteries, and ends up boiling all the water out, if I don't turn it off. Does anyone know of a timer type divice I can hook up, and if so, where could I find such a device?

get a smarter charger

When I bought my C27 this summer, it had no dedicated charger at all, so I went shopping for one that was as foolproof as possible. I bought a modest Prosport20 marine charger, which is supposed to be smart enough to read the charge level of the batteries and keep them conditioned -- and also avoid boiling them. I've left the charger plugged in whenever I'm at the dock for the past three months, and never had a boil problem yet.

Try some research on chargers and what batteries

need. www.amplepower.com download the Ample Power Primer Also read the West Marine advisors online or in their catalogs. You could simply buy a simple timer at a hardware store, but then you'd continue to kill your batteries.
