Have this guy make you a nice teak Mermaid to cover it. Sounds crazy but could really become a focal point and a nice piece t have. He does work for Disney, so it could end up worth more than the boat! Alternately it could be time for that cabin heater you have always wanted. That will take up some vertical bulkhead space.

Lots of good ideas. I will try one or two on a coffee table that my daughter "glued" her arm to with nail polish remover. Nice imprint of her arm but it ruined the wood surface. Her arm healed but the wood didn't. Good luck and happy sailing.
