Which battery is for the engine and which for the electronics. There is one in the engine compartment and another hidden in the aft cabin next to the port wall.

Waldo; The battery in the engine compartment is the start battery. The one in the lazzarette is the house battery. They are operated by the switches in the aft stateroom.

Wally, I mean Waldo, certainly hope you have more than 2 batteries on that 393. We only have a Catalina 36, but have two huge battery banks and can stay out for a week with refrig going. Also have an inverter to run microwave, coffee pot, etc. You know who I am. G, F-dock

extra battery

Waldo, I own a 2002 model 393 and had to order a 3rd battery with load distributor as an option. It was well worth it as it gives alot more energy for running things. Otherwise I believe the 393 comes standard with 2 batteries only. You may want to think of adding another for long cruises.
