It's a nine inch Zeus 2. Happy with the unit overall. Manual is a bit sketchy but satisfactory. Seems to be a powerful unit. Attached to a 4G radar and interfaced with my SH Matrix radio for AIS. Will feed my old Raymarine S60+ into it via converter when I have more time.
I could not find a phone number anywhere in the printed material, on their website or via Google search. They are not the only ones but it is still a disappointment.

Rick,

I have the same MFD/radar as you do, 9" Zeus2 and 4g radar. Be sure to share what ever you find out. While you are talking to them, ask about the heading update rate that is necessary to have the radar image overlaid on the chart image. It would be about $600 nicer to use a gps heading instead of a fluxgate compass heading.

Is your plotter interfaced with an autopilot?
Interesting point. We do have an autopilot and it does interface with the NSS; But the NSS will advance through the route even if we don't have the autopilot engaged. Our route will also advance if the autopilot is in constant-course mode rather than navigating to the selected route. I assumed that if the autopilot isn't engaged then it shouldn't be affecting the functionality of the plotter.

I think the difference is that without an autopilot interfaced to a Navico system the routing feature does not work. Just a guess because their website knowledge base is poor and the support techs can't answer the question. I have problems with Garmin, but damn, these kinds of features are easy to find and use on a Garmin. I'm holding off on a Simrad AP upgrade until I get this issue answered.

Sometime when I have a chance maybe I'll pull the autopilot computer off the bus and see what happens. I would be surprised if it makes a difference (I'm thinking the bigger difference is NSS vs NSE) but I guess you never know.

The very first time we used our Zeus T8 and autopilot, we had the arrival radius set too small and had a real surprise when the AP made an abrupt spiraling U-turn in an attempt to get back to it! Most recently, we have been using it to navigate from waypoint to waypoint (not a route), with the autopilot engaged in "Navigation mode", when I arrive at a waypoint, my recollection is that it asks me if I want to continue in the same mode or cancel.

No problem with mine with Ray Marine EV one auto pilot installed. I set up a five way point route in a zigzag pattern and it navigated to each one , Then told me the route was finished. Then I ran the route in reverse with the same results. When you engage the auto pilot it gives you several choices of mode for the auto pilot and one is navigate. It then tells you it has to change course to navigate to the first waypoint.

SO Rick. Perhaps the RM EV autopilot is doing the work and sending the signal to the Zeus. The Zeus is functioning as a display and not the control brains of the navigation in GorillaToast's setup.

Rick,
Looking at the AP on the Zeus2... Are you getting all of the functions listed on the attached page except the waypoint to waypoint navigation?

Actually John, the only part of the RM system that is connected is the motor. The Zeus is definitely in control.

Ok GT. Just searching all possibilities for why Rick has the issue he is experiencing. When you eliminate all of the possible issues what is left most likely is the cause.

I do not. That appears to be the AP interface.

Yes. You may be on to something. The AP features of the Zeus2 are delineated in the data sheet. If these are not working maybe this is where the fault lies.

check the arrival radius in settings.
You know, I did set that up with a pretty wide radius if I recall. I'll double check it when I go to the boat next. Still no reply from BandG.
