Time on our boat

I would just like to get out on our boat. I don't think my priorities are correct. There is always work to do and no time for play! I really want this year to be different. I would kie to go back to the San Juans for a week or so. Guess for that to happen I need to make a plan and stick to it. Tom

It was a very good year!

My husband and I went from sailing our 22 ft sailboat on a small inland lake to a 1985 Hunter 34 on Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands. We did spend a fair amount of time on the boat this summer and had lots of new cruising experiences like spending nights at anchor in the islands, long days of sailing, exploring the islands and lovely days just hanging out at the dock. We are really looking forward to even more time away from the marina this summer and sailing to Isle Royale and Thunder Bay.

Lake Meade Information

Does anyone have any information about sailing on Lake Meade? I would like to trailer my Hunter 170 there and camp and sail. Thanks, Brian

A mixed bag on Lake Michigan

It was a very mixed year. The weather was very cold and nasty until way after the 4th. Finally in August things mellowed out and September was great. We even sailed in October! The good news was the continued rising of the average water level in the Great Lakes. Hopefully, that will make for a great season in '05.

Sailing during 2004 on the Bay of Green Bay

Hi, 2004 brought many firsts. First time to splash our Oday 23, which we bought in 2002 and after serveral years of restoration and refitting. The weather here in the Great Lakes region during the sailing season of 2004 wasn't the best. June was almost a complete wash-out/rain fest. Best sailing came surprisingly in late August and into September. Our new ships log shows about 15 entries. Not as much as we had hoped, but still worthy of fun times, each outing provided new learning experiences and many new friends. We hope to see our boat in the water this year, but might change marinas due to high marina costs. May 2005 bring pleasant breezes, warm friends and even warmer winds to brighten everyone's faces! Best Wishes, Mark Reiland 1972 Oday 23 Green Bay, Wisconsin
