What is the clipped blue wire above.

I'd brush out the cracks and crevices of loose pieces, clean it with acetone (maybe alcohol), and epoxy it smooth with a trowel. The hole to drain, we've discussed above.

That's a fun boat you have. Enjoy it.

Thanks , "clipped blue wire " runs up pulpit to bow lights , I'm going to try to get a heat shrink on it .

I'm sorry, but I'm not getting it.:banghead:Is your leak coming from the hull/deck joint or from the anchor locker drain at the bottom of said locker?

It appears to be the area around the drain , before the pics , the area was general . I'm going to try seal off the area with a light weight poly between the hatch lid and deck to try and dry it out .

The 1/2" copper pipe that is the drain for the anchor locker in early 80's Catalina's is known source of leaks to the bilge. Some folks put a smaller dia tube inside of that one. I plan on drilling mine out and putting a larger drain. Hole in bow tube OD. Bigger hole in locker so I can get to the back side of the bow hole to add epoxy around the tube.

Probably end up with 1/2 copper again as it will outlast me!! Other options are a fiberglass tube

Looking at this pic it seems you have a drain hole and then damage to your well. I would plug the drain hole with a plug well greased up and then spread West Epoxy, thickened with one of their fillers into damaged area. When the West sets, remove the greased plug and I think you will be good to go.

Water may be flushing through your cracks fast enough not cause damage underneath. I would fill the damage in the well as I stated before. If that cures the problem you are done. If not, you have eliminated a possible source.
