Thank you! This will now be put back to proper use. Once I buy a new anchor and rode setup. I was wondering what to do with 150 feet of rope and chain.
150 feet of anchor line may not just fall in, and chain along with an anchor stowed on the bow rail might add unwanted weight that far forward

Rope:
Diam. | Lbs/100ft | Strength
3/8 in. ____ 5 ______ 3240

1/2 in. ____ 8 ______ 5670

5/8 in. ____12______ 8910

1/4"dia chain = .69lbs/ft.

x 25' = 17-1/4lbs

125' 1/2" rode + 25' 1/4" chain ≈ 27-1/4lbs to anchor at 7:1 in maximum of 21'.

If using all chain, a 4:1 will work for a 22' 2000lb boat on 1/4" chain, requiring 84ft. of chain. That's a maximum weight of ≈ 58lbs. (Not including the anchor, of course).

Replacing the 125' of rode plus 25' of chain, that comes to an additional weight of ≈31lbs.
