The vessel is a 1987 O'Day 272. Does the light atop the mast utilize one or two light bulbs (i.e. 2 bulbs/360 degrees all around for anchor and one bulb/225 degrees forward for steaming)? The DC panel indicates two positions on the switch (anchor/steaming). I ask this because the light is inoperative and the deck plug/harness is a four pin type (do all pins serve an electrical purpose?) Also, the boat came without an owner's manual and an explanation for the two position switch (sure wish I could arrange for a copy of one!). I feel the bulb(s) at the masthead are okay as they once worked and I don't like heights. Would also like to find a 90 degree version of the four pin plug, to replace the vertical plug, as the harness has been beat to death by the headsail clew on tack changes. I hope this is where the problem lies. Any help greatly appreciated!
