I have a Hunter 40.5 that I bought 2 yr. ago. the boat hunts at anchor or on a mooring, it will shift though about a 70 deg ark with winds 8 to 20 knots. The boat has a dodger and a bimini top on it plus inflatable on davits at the stern. I just bought a Banner Bay riding sail (their largest 9' x 10.6' x 10.6') and have tried every configuration it sailing it that I can think of. On one side of the split back stay, rudder midships or hard port or hard starboard, changing the sheet from toe rail to mast to opp. toe rail. Also made up a phantom back stay and again tried everything that I did with it on the split back stay, so far no improvment. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop a 40.5 from sailing at anchor?
