$6.00 ft/month/year =$2448.00 $30.00 month for power. Spips only, no balls. No on the hard storage. If your boats on the hard it's being repaired (and they rent your slip). Gotta love Horry County. Haul-out $6.00 ft. Mike Destiny II

Where do you find such incredible rates in Northport? Are sure you're not thinking about 30 years ago?

Reasonable rates

At World's Fair Marina, owned by the City of NEw York and a one hour subway ride from midtown Manhattan, we now pay $67 a foot for summer slip with water and extra small charge for electricity actually used. Thirty and fifty amp service are available. The rate was $63 but they increased it this year. It is less for smaller boats. Winter wet storage is $28/ft. Dry storage -- haul, pressure wash, block and relaunch -- $32/ft. Those rates someone posted for Northport I am sure do not exist.

Bay Area fees

I pay about $8 per foot for long term, plus electricity (about $11 per month) in Alameda, across from the city. City marinas tend to be more costly, running $10/ft or more. San Diego two years ago was 11-12/ft, and a premium marina (as a resort hotel) was $15. Those are per month on contract... Florida, where I am temporarily, seems tob e around $10/ft or m ore, much higher in big cities. S.

Its cheap in texas

There are small towns here that have slips for 25.00 month and size dont matter..but you only have 4'of clearance, somr towns with deep harbors run about 200.00 month for 30'boats and that includes elect.

Gotta check around

After reading this post I finally picked up the phone and called around. The first marina was 2300 for the summer for a 25 foot slip.500 for a dry slip.A mooring there has a fifty year waiting list. The second marina 800 for the slip,900 to join the "club",you must also spend at least 50 a month at the bar.The city harbor master is letting me have a mooring for life for 40 dollars .This does not include the cost of the mooring being installed which I was told will be 300 or so.

Wow!

I'm amazed at how much people pay to keep their boats wet on the east coast. A $20K boat is a monet pit in 3 years over there. Here in Southern Cal, a good 25ft slip is $250-350 a month. You can get a slip for $200/month in an ugly area called Willmington.. The problem is not cost, it's waiting. Long beach marina has a 3-5 year waiting list for a 25footer, and prefer powerboats, chich they can also charge bye the square foot. 2 years to go on the trailer still.. for now, my drydock storage is $81/month, with no salt water maintenance..

About $2,200 an year for a 42 foot, water electricity and pool included. The water is undrinkable and too brown and salty to wash the boat with--a real problem, but the location for crusing is the best on the southern Chesapeake. We haul water from home in a 45 gallon tank for our water tanks or fill up where ever we tie up, even a restaurant or when fueling.
