Air lock in water line

I recently purchased a 1987 Catalina 30 that includes a pressurized hot/cold water system. The water tanks were empty when I got the boat, after filling them up I have found the taps in the head work well, but the taps in the galley have little pressure and the pump cycles on & off like there is an air lock on that side of the line. Does anyone know a good way of bleeding the line or otherwise clearing up the problem? Paul

Air Lock

Having just purchased a Cat 30 and filled both water tanks I notice the same problem. Reading your problem got me thinking. The first time I started the "on demand" pump the head sink was on full blast, but not the galley sink. The next time I go to my boat I will turn on the galley sink full blast for a short period to see if there is an air pocket in the line and by turning it on full blast it moves the air out the faucet. I will let you know if it works.

Paul: Congrats on the boat, Check to see that the screen on the nozzel at the sink is not plugged. Ours were very clogged and the ones in the head were fine. After running a little, any ir should be expelled. Good luck, Dave S/V Westwind
