I have an O’day 22 that I am finally finishing up. The person that I got the boat from got the sail from a sail loft in new England. I was told that the sail needed to be cut but it shouldn’t be that bad. So, I took the sail to the local sail loft and they just called me to tell me that the sail is a perfect fit for an O’day 25 and they think it is a mismatch since it has the origional sailmakers name on it and it says Oday 22 on it. I have been trying to contact the sail loft that made it but I still haven’t spoken with the owner after a couple polite messages requesting a call back. I have also emailed him and requested a call back. When I put myself in there shoes, I don’t see the need to help me since they didn’t make it for me. But the person who I got the boat from said he ordered the sail for an O’day 22. I have the brand new sail for an O’day 25, sunny weather, and not enough money to buy a new sail. What would you do?
