Common alarm for poor raw water flow. My AC guy installed an upgraded Groco raw water strainer and coached me on regular filter cleanings and seasonal flushing. I configured a hose barb to fit the raw water hose and flush with a freshwater hose at dock side. The raw water circuit accumulates a lot of gunk sitting there running in the marina soup. Even found a herring wedged 6" above the through-hull. Keep a clean machine.
Back washed the sea water line today. Flushed out a half cup of muddy gunk. Unit works great now. The Groco filter looks like a good addition.
I have an Oceanis 45 in South Florida. We have to clean the A/C strainer at least weekly. We also had a problem with grass and debris blocking the generator intake. (That was after we cleaned the strainer) The blockage was where the through hull goes through an "L" fitting. I closed the seacock, removed the hose, and cleared the blockage. All is now well.
Our 2015 OC 45 has been 3 years in Kemah TX and is now in Stuart FL. The AC cooling circuit has been an issue since the first season. As well as keeping filter clean I regularly flush the system using the Sea Flush Filter kit and snorkel. It’s $100 at Amazon, seems expensive for a couple of plastic funnels and a couple of bungee cords but it fits all the suction strainers perfectly. I get a 5 gallon bucket with a 10-20% Muratic acid fresh water blend, stick snorkel in bucket, switch system on and pump the 5 gallons through the system. Refill with fresh water and a bicarbonate soda mix to neutralize acid. Full flow is restored. Do it every 6 months or as required.

Until @BigEasy showed me this cool Groco adapter. I added a female to female quick disconnect coupling to top and make sure the water pressure stays below 25 psi.
Once you get it to flow well, you can add 2 of these to the strainer basket for a good treatment.

My Dometic, Marine Airee, etc made units have their heat exchange made of cuprous/nickel just like a hot tub uses as a heater. They are subjected to the stronger Bromine tabs.
During the summer months it keeps my AC lines clean and exchanger at top efficiency.
