AC Power Reverse Polarity Light

I usually have my boat moored with solar panels so no need for AC.
I have the boat for over a year and the last time I couple of times at different docks I have had the reverse polarity light every time I plug in.
I have recently realized how dangerous this is.
I have my boat dry dock and want to get it fixed.

Any ideas on fixing it.

There is a burn mark on the female end that plugs into the boat and also looks like it spark welded slight on the boat male end.

I did try another cord and still got the light.

I am thinking about replacing the boats male end receptacle but that is expensive. Any ideas on where I can find a receptacle at a decent price?

Or other Ideas?

Your corroded connections can cause the rp light to come on. Google "Blue Sea reverse polarity" and it will take you to their website which has good info.

Fix the cord connectors - you can cut them off and get new ones if you're handy and careful, or buy a new cord. Replace the inlet on your boat. Buy a $10 rp tester at a hardware store for backup and cross check, we always have had one on our boats, even with and without rp lights built into the panel.

Good luck.
