ok, first let me say that I was a member on the O'day forum for years and learned so much during my restoration of my O'day. I've since moved up to a much newer Catalina28 mkii and I love it. It was always great learning about new things for the boat, but my Catalina has just about all I could want. Sorry O'day forum, but I have a Catalina now. With that said, I did find something totally different to add. I've always wanted hatch covers but never wanted to deal with the putting on and taking off hassel. I hear horror stories about chasing them down too as they fly away in the wind. Well my neighbor here at the marina had some new covers on his boat that really caught my attention. He said they were called Outland Hatch Covers. They were made of a hard pvc material and attached with a fastener that he could easily put them on or take off. Wow! I just ordered a set for my boat now. I had to get the number off their website as my neighbor had given away the card he had. It was easy enough to find but I did have to take some measurements to give to them. it wasn't hard but i guess there is a lot of different size of hatches. Anyway, I am excited about getting them as my neighbor says they really help his a/c not to mention keeps the sun from fading his interior. My wife is always laying a towel over stuff. Therapy28
