A write-up of how I mounted the windlass on my 37.5 has been humbly submitted to the owner mods for that model.

Cross posting it here for people searching in the future for info on mounting a windlass. Especially a deck mounted Lewmar V1 vertical windlass. B757Captain is partly to blame - following his saga with S/V Escape Velocity helped inspire me and all the forum and 'owner mods' contributors made me believe I should try my hand. I thank you all.

Excellent results!
Installing my V2 windlass was difficult enough and the mounting pad was factory incorporated into the deck. Great job!!

I have a 45lb Mantus anchor, 130' of 5/16" G4 chain and 120' of 5/8 3-strand nylon rode.
