I am looking into replaceing my old yanmar ysm12. Tech support at Catalina tells me that the Universal M25xpb is the powerplant they are currently installing in their new C300's and that the engine compartment is the basicly the same size and design (save the cabinet drawer) as my old one. As the M25xpb is a taller engine i am very concerned about it's installation and impact. While doing my research i've noticed that the "oil pan" dept for each engine are dramaticly different ~ the old yanmar is 3.5in while the M25xpb is 7in. Should i be overly concerned about this? The tech at Catalina mentioned their "dome" shaped engine cover (part #80238) which is used to cover the taller engine. She seemed to think that it will satify the 25xpb height issues? Is that the case or should i expect to loose some of my dinette seating, in addition to my cabinet drawer, with the taller engine?I have and still am considering the Universal 3m-20b, should i go with it instead? Is there a link that discribes both or either powerplant conversations/installations?~ On a related note: I have been holding off on moving the clutch and throttle controls up to an after market pestal mount (catalinedirect.cm Product #Z2288). It seems like this is a good time to do it? Any thoughts?ThxJax
