So there is not mount for a spinnaker on my mast but the boat came with a spin pole. I have noticed this anomaly on other P30s as well but have yet to hear an explanation. Any takers out there? and thanks to those of you who commented on the rudder repair.

You can put the ring on the mast
I have a '78 P-31. Friend has P-30. Don't know about my original mast setup. Ray says his boat did not have spinnaker pole ring nor down haul on boat.
Ray says:
figure out if you want fixed or sliding ring
go to West Marine Lei Lin Boat Supply, Annapolis Sail Shop, etc and buy same
use tape to set geat on mast, set up correctly
use stailess steel machine screws, maller bit, drill, and attach with screws and 5200 or 4200 compount.

Our P303 had no arrangement for spinnaker or whisker pole. I mounted a 6 foot piece of track on the front of the mast by drilling and tapping into the mast. All was needed then was to put the proper slider cars for positioning the pole. I also use the track and car to store the whisker pole by sliding the car to top of the track.
