Oh no you're going to have to saw your head off....:D Seriously though I think you're going to need to bust out the scissors or a razor. You can try acetone, as it has only been a short time and it should not yet be cured, but then again that is not the most healthy practice unless you're into huffing acetone..

Just recently, a co-worker showed me that WD-40 removes uncured 5200 about 20 times as effectively as acetone. Also really great for removing it from your hands after doing a job - just spray some on paper towel or a rag, then wipe.

If the stuff's in your hair, AND it's cured, time for that trim... Keen sailors have really short hair anyways, so that they can feel every wind shift.

There is (was) a product sold as a 5200 solvent. It is "Anti-Bond 2015" from JWB Environmental Inc, Winter Springs, FL (877-800-7971). According to the label it is an "Industrial strength polyurethane de-bonder and multi-purpose cleaner". One of those products that is extremely hazardous to everyone's health. I wouldn't want to use it on any body part.

GO AHEAD, HAVE YOUR FUN! Update: it is stuck to my scalp! The spot that is like a wad of bubble gum has attached to my scalp with a clump of hair for reenforcement. If i knew it was back there at the time i would've used mineral spirits to remove it-or most of it. THe swing keel attaches to the shoal keel with plastic pin, wedges, and the two stainless straps with 2 ss screws on each strap. The 5200 was forced into the threaded holes to seal the screws from water intrusion. I've been using 5200 for years and will always use it for underwater apps to prevent water intrusion. Thanks for the suggestions all. I will try wd40- is the greaser look comming back IN VOGUE?

Just remember, your skin sheds the outermost layer of cells about every 14 days or so... so in two weeks, you'll be able to sneak a straight razor under the blob and cut it free. :D

My $.02 worth...

I'd call a dermatologist to ask how to remove it without taking a chunk of your scalp with it. If necessary, make an appt for the doc to remove it.

shave it,..might consider a dynel tina turner wig in multicolors for fun and something different.......
Just make sure you use 4200 to attach it.

Have your wife take a picture for us, this group hasn't had enough fun yet. :D

Gee, I felt bad when..

I ruined several pairs of jeans. It's easy to forget that you're dealing with 5200 when it looks and acts liike regular caulking that's easier to remove.
I feel your pain (well, sort of)
