the 36, this year's update of the 356, actually does have tie rods in the cabin, but they don't take much space.

Dan, that would be great! I'm actually a bicoastal commuter right now-1/2 time in Boston and 1/2 in San Jose, so we should be able to connect-if not to sail, at least to toss back a cold one and talk boats! Let's keep in touch-I should be back in SJ at the end of march. BTW, were you out by the golden gate around 3 on saturday? I had my family out visiting and we took the 2:30 harbor cruise -we passed a good sized Huntert on the way back in..I'm jealous-here on the hard everthing is still frozen solid. Chuck
