I HAVE THE SAME LEAK - Had it since I got the boat
Dont go crazy! As you can see I HAVE!2.5 YEARS looking for these leaks! Im 90pct sure its your windows. I have talked and talked to my dealer over and over. He said he sealed everything, pressure washed the area to see if he could find the leak, etc. I went nuts since I got the boat. Imagine buying a BRAND NEW boat and when it rains it leaks! So each year, at great expense sailed back to the dealer, each season same thing, and then this season disaster.Contact me at sailwriter@yahoo.com . I am trying to work with HUNTER and my dealer now to get this fixed. Dont let it go long. Last winter I BEGGED the dealer to fix this. They ignored me and this spring that wood wall in the salon was ruined!!! Its an awful eyesore, will affect resale and has already ruined many books and a gps that were on that shelf.Ok how I found my leak.Run a mere trickle of water around your windows. One by one. Top and bottom. That is how I found my leak. Water Pressure on the window is not the point here; a trickle allows for the water to seep into where the seal is broken, perhaps in some capillary action. Also check the bolts that hold your mast plate, place a trickle of water around those bolts too. VERY often they are loose and will leak as well.Keep us posted.I had heard from other Hunter owners from another dealership that these windows and their seals have leaked, but my dealer just could not figure it out. How old is your boat? When did the leak start?Ed
