With this being the new model for 2000. What do all the new owners think after their first season with this boat? The response to my own question would be: we are still as pleased with the boat today as the day it was delivered. Just don't ask me about dealing with dealers.

Couldn't be happier

Overall, I couldn't be happier with the 310! It exceeded our expectations in every regard (including a few negative ones). Yes, we had to wait a long time for delivery. Yes there were a few minor problems that are still being addressed (the port side lazarette, for instance, still mysteriously takes on a small amount of in rain or after hosing down the cockpit), but the positives definitley outweigh the negatives. She's a beautiful vessel, she sails magnificently (much faster, I think, than the 6.9 knot top speed indicated in theliterature)and you couldn't ask for a roomier boat in the price range. I think the 310 gives you an incredible bang for the buck. Ours, hull#51 "Karuna" is the envy of the Marina. I'd be happy to address any specific questions. You can either E-mail me thru my listing in the 310 owners registry on this site, orpost a question here. Happy sailing!

Maybe I'm just picky, but...

We’re still impressed with the “livability” of ours, for it’s size. And it’s a very versatile size as well. The equipment that comes standard, both inside and out is also excellent and has performed well. I have continued to attend boat shows, looking at similar models, and for the money there’s no question we got the right boat for us. I looked at an “H” brand 320 that had a lot of options installed to bring it closer to the level of the C310, which made it more expensive. It still seemed to us to be inferior in size and features. We had some relativily minor construction related issues also, but I think this is not uncommon with new boats. My only ongoing dissatisfaction is with the standard Catalina sails. The 135% jib is a little on the heavy side, and I can’t get the shape to where I want it. I think this boat could point a little higher without losing speed if/when I get a performance sail. The standard mainsail is not causing as much of a problem as far as I’m concerned. I have to point out that I do some racing, and I was spoiled by the Sobstad laminate sails on my last boat. Maybe Santa will have a little something under the Christmas tree for me :) There’s a little more information about our boat on my personal web site at www.home.earthlink.net/~jobawhite/ or link to it from Admiralty Yacht Sales, www.ays.com

Hi :)

Hi Kurt, I enjoyed your article on your 310, I wonder if you would be willing to give an approximate on the price? Thanks Dave LaPere :)
