310 water line

Cause that is where the owners sit.

Actually, I have no idea. I don't think the 309's sit as much aft either.

I'm a new owner (last June) and noticed a half inch or better rise in the bow when I emptied the fresh water tank. However it seemed rest pretty straight when the water was full.

Does not seem to present a problem for me. Helps deck and cockpit drain

Yep, watertank is under the v-beth. If you don't have a gauge, you can almost tell how full the tank is by checking the water line at the bow.

I think the answer is that it is insignificant, because unlike your body that is 95% water, the volume in a boat is mostly air, so the difference in density between air and salt water and air and fresh water is insignificant.
