rub rail
Mark and Dianne,if you are looking for metal rub rail for a 31-2 good luck. It is an extruded aluminum part that is molded and not just bent of stock. I searched all over to replace a portion of mine. I ended up installing the vinly rub-rail that was put on a 33-2. It is a vinly rail with an L-shaped cap that goes below. Rudy at D&R has this material in various lengths. The wood toe rails mount on top of this rail and you will have to modify the edge of the hull/ deck joint and cut off about 1 in all the way around the boat to make it fit. You will also need to remove and replace all of the screws around the hull deck joint with longer screws. Here is a link to the part it is #7 bolt cover and #7 rub rail L stylehttp://www.drmarine.com/products.asp?cat=278Rudy can send you a sample if you are interested. The new rail looks and works great, it is expensive and a time consuming job though.Bob
