Max-Prop
Claude,I'm so glad you asked about props fpr a 285. I have one (1987) and I just love it except for going in reverse. Anyone who owns a 285 knows what I'm speaking about. Very little control and no much power. So I spent some time looking at 3 blade "feathering" props which seem to be better than folding models. HOWEVER, feathering props are very expensive even if they work so well. I'm still thinking about it and may, in the end, decide to spring for one. I don't expect to sell our boat in the near future because it's just perfect for the bay, in my opinion. I've included a link to Max-Props. Interesting site just to view even if you don't buy a new prop.
