I installed the single line reefing blocks that are available at Catalina Direct in my boom last year. The system works great although the friction is a bit higher than I would like. You could do the same thing with the exterior blocks that you already have. You would only need to add a bulls eye or cheek block to the mast to pull the final leg of the tack line forward.

I am planning to re-run the lines so that they do not go through the cringle. Instead they will go up to a bearing bullet block that is mounted with the shackle through the cringle and hooked to a stainless ring. Most of the friction is at the cringle so this should make it work easier.
I eliminated all the tracks, blocks, what have you and installed a magic box indide the boom. The outhaul goes from the clew to a sheave in the back of the boom. There are three sheaves back there. Two reefs and outhaul. The outhsul comes out of the botyom of the boom and cleats there. The reef lines are tied to the boom and through the crinkle and to the sheaves. Then internally forward to a double exit box under the boom. Base blocks, organizers and to clutches in front of winches. The sail drops when the halyard is eased and I hook the cunninham to the cringle. Pull down and done, always do the front first. I did removed the cover in back of the boom and cut the top to install the triple sheave set up. Actually is cheaper than all that other stuff.
