28 MKII owners and A/C

I am very tempted to buy a 1995 28 MKII.But here in Texas I would need to install A/C. I would like to hear from anyone who has a 28 MKII with A/C 1. where the Compressor unit is located and 2. If it is a factory install or a retrofit and 3.Do you have 30 amp dual service.
Pictures would be great and I would be enternally grateful because I am leaning towards the Catalina and away from a Hunter 310/320.

Can't help with the compressor location, but I have a 310 with A/C and have not had a problem with the single 30 Amp service.

I just purchased a 1996 28MKII and it has AC. It is under the rear starboard side of the V-berth. I don't have any pics but could get some it you are still interested. I have had the boat 2 months and is a great boat. Let me know if you still want the photos.
