$25 Oil Filter!!

Here is a fix.

Go to Wix Filters on-line, look up your motor in the off road section then go purchase that Wix number at your local auto parts store.

If you purchase at NAPA the NAPA part numbers are nearly identical to Wix numbers (they will be branded NAPA Gold - but they are all Wix.)

I just saw the filter for $8.95 on the internet (mid west dealer)

Check with Boatswains Locker. They are distributor for your region.

I simply go to NAPA auto or similar stores. They have catalogs if you give them the OEM part number, they have a corresponding model# that will work.

Your engine doesn't care who made the filter ,only that it is the correct replacement.
If your engine is out of warranty, it's a non issue.

Where do you get a p-car filter for 9 bucks? stoddard? pelican?

there is a difference in the factory filters. it has a pressure relief valve, to keep supplying oil, even if its totally clogged.

There are some items that are best as OEM. Oil

filter is not one of them. I can actually see the $9 Porsche filter although I'd probably get a good aftermarket one for that if it wasn't under warrantee.
