Jonathan,I put the deck fill for a fresh water tank just forward of the port side coming box, and as I recall, I had to carve out quite a bit of foam. But the water hose is quite a bit bigger than an electric cable. Also, I have a compass mounted, I think, where you are panning to put your panel, but on the outside. As I recall, the compass is only a few inches deep, but still extends an inch or so inside the cabin above the sink. I don't think there is enough depth in that bulk head to place a breaker panel.I was thinking of placing the panel on the aft face of the starboard settee, but was concerned about someone sleeping in the aft berth bumping and shutting off the breakers. I have also seen other 23.5s with the inlet all the way aft on the transom, next to the motor well. I toyed for a short while about putting the inlet on the inside of the starboard combing box, but was afraid of taking to much space there. The box is barely big enough to hold a winch handle as it is.Grounding is an issue. I have gone the route of hooking a shore power cord up to a power strip just to run a battery charger for a few hours and charging the laptop. But to be honest, that scares the heck out of me, knowing that there is the potential to complete a ground between the water and the shore power. Not something I want to mess with.Keep me posted on your progress. I will do likewise.Rob,"Kinship"
