What a well stocked boat. Nice cruise plan. Should be out in the vicinity during that time. While you're in Fisherman's Bay for the fireworks, look for two sailboats from our flotilla; Wassail (Pacific Seacraft 34) skippered by Colin Banks and Mariposa (Cal T2) skippered by Bob Barker (the real one). Both are retired Boeing jobber brits.

Thanks Terry. Toni&Cory will be there also. I talked to all of them last night at the Skuttlebut’s Skipper meeting.

Got to Skippers as quick as I could after boat splash. Colin and Bob were still there, so had a good visit. Skipper would prefer Fishermans fireworks, but the fam overruled. So Roche it is.:banghead:

Could have come sooner but the minus tide had a splash blackout period from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. Unable to do it in the a.m. so 3:30 was the time slot they placed me. Oh well. Hope to catch up to you while we're out. I'l give you a call once we get out on the water.

Left the dock at 7:30. Typical PNW weather gray sky’s and occasional mana dropping from the heavens

Good on you... cruising at 5.8 knots you'll make Cornet Bay (22NM) or Hope Island (20nm) by early afternoon.
As they said in Avatar... I see you. On your AIS.
Safe cruising.

You are progressing quickly... Running at 6.5 knots.. Appears you have a bit of Saturday cruising company.. Some running at a hot speed....

Anchored at Hope Island for the nite. Had problem with anchor dragging. Turns out I scored a bullseye on a derilict crab pot. No crabs only huge tube worms.

After today’s motoring I thing the engine either doesn’t have a thermostat or it’s stuck open. With the 2” HE I’d be running 175-180 at 2300 RPM with the 3” on there now the hottest it got was 137. Something for the todo list. On the bright side it quit raining. 38B06465-75C5-473B-9FDD-42216D5246F1.jpeg

Lovely anchorage. Rain just paused. It will be back all you wondering boaters. Les is just toughing it out. It’s a Pacific NW tradition.

Can't let the rain get you down Les. We'd never get out if we only sailed on the sunny days. Must admit that June has been pretty wet and May was much nicer but I'm told summer is coming ( soon, I hope)

It’s not. One reason I spent serious money on a Drysuit was partially to be very comply in bad weather. Also it matches the spinnaker
