We are presently doing a shakeout cruise on our 2 month old boat. Every time it rains, despite having a dodger, bimini and connector, we start getting water running down the u channels on either side of the companionway hatch and then down into the two small compartments where we stow the lines which are led to the cockpit. From there, the water comes out the bottom of the two compartments and onto the cockpit floor. Even seems like having a full enclosure is a waste of money as the floor is not dry and all this water is now available to be tracked down below. The much touted arch certainly isn't a plus in these weather conditions, making a leakproof cockpit impossible. The water is being channeled aft from the upper decks along the line corridors. Is this normal on all larger Hunters? Any recommendations to curtail or stop this flow?
