In talking to someone about blasting and painting the hull, he asked whether I knew if the boat was made with Polyester or Vinylester. The question is related to barrier coats. He says if the boat is made with vinylester then barrier coating is not needed. He also said that for the year 2006 it could be either. Anyone know what Hunter used?

Owner's manual and intereet search was blank on this subject so suggest consulting with the ex-Hunter designer and construction manager who consult with SBO for a small tipping fee ($50 last time I checked) OR review this thread discussing resin type Are Brand Name Builders using Epoxy now? | Sailboat Owners Forums

SBO is sailboatowners.com Simply put in a request with SailboatOwners.com customer service . I did that once to consult on how instrument cables were routed from the cockpit pedestal to navigation station for $50.
