1994 hunter 29.5 steering wheel shaft has 1/2in play

Hello, I'm looking to see if anyone else has had this problem. I see the Edson rebuild kit online but not sure if that is the right kit brings Hunter made the pedestal. I can move my wheel up and down at least 1/4in in all directions and my auto pilot move with the wheel. I was talking to a guy that thought it had a special kit and had to have bearings pressed in.... any info please and where to get the parts.

I would call Edson directly. They have great customer service and can help you determine if you need the kit, and if wil work for your application.

I had a wheel part issue with my Merriman wheel and called Edson. I spoke directly to the owner, Will Keene, and he was just great in helping me find an Edson part that would work.
