1990 35s5 Engine Model

Does anyone know which model 28 hp Volvo Penta diesel engine is in this boat? I'm looking for oil and fuel filters.

Recommend consulting your manual for its recommended oil (probably 10W 40 diesel engine oil such as Delo 400 SDE or Rotella) and filter part number. If you do not have a manual and parts list and the forum cannot provide one suggest contacting a marine volvo dealer such as Nick Roberti's Marine in NY below to furnish one.

Correction oil should be 15W/40. That is what is also recommended for my Yanmar. Found the engine manual (page 108 specifies oil viscosity and API oil quality) and parts catalogue in the links below.

If its the original engine, it wont be a D-40 as they were first produced many years after 1990. More likely to be a VP2003.(is it 3 cylinder?)
