I also put in new engine mounts, cost about $200 for 4. That smoothed things out and helped with getting it all back in alignment.
Dkeagle please tell me where you got for motor mounts for $200. I'm seeing about $140 for each.

Easiest way to get fresh water between the liner is under the galley sink. When I drain my hot 6 gallon water heater every winter I run it dry through the sink, but still have some in the tank (maybe 3/4 gallon) so I remove the drain plug and let it flow to the bilge. Then I head out for a few hours and enjoy the sail. By the time I get back the water has found the way to the bilge, the space between the liner and hull is somewhat cleaned out, and I remove all the water and keep a dry bilge.

Kenny, I order my Yanmar parts through Torresen Marine, which is at http://toadmarinesupply.com/. The date on the invoice is October 2012, so the price may have changed. Item was DF-2205-1 Bushings Dual Flex Marine Engine Mount ea. 47.89.
I got an error on the web site when I went to check it, hopefully you can get on.

The mount DK refers to is a generic motor mount that may have the mounting holes and stud in the right place, but thats where the similarity ends. The rubber cushion is far less substantial than the Yanmar spec mount. The engineering behind engine mounts is complicated and they play a pretty vital role. I don't know that I would gamble on an aftermarket generic mount whose design is so radically different from stock.

I had forgotten about that, it's been several years. They matched what was in there, so I didn't really know any better. Between the small size & weight of my 1GM engine the guy who did the work figured it wouldn't matter that much and if they do need replaced sooner, then I would either be able to afford the good ones or no longer own the boat by then.
