Nice pix... good info the on the toe-rail, I suspect you're right about teak on top of molded being standard for a while, although I have nothing but my 84 and your info to go on.

There is no evidence that the toe rail on my '80 ever was ever topped with teak. It would make sense they'd show the upgrade in the brochure; it's nice looking. Glad I don't have to maintain it, though.

And thanks for posting all those pictures Sunbird! I'm in the process of upgrading that "locker" with a fiddled shelf to hold beach towels and stuff.

I can verify that my '79 Oday 23 has the molded toe rail, obviously never covered with teak. My galley set up is exactly like the first picture (the one with the boss plaid cushions) with separate sink and stove pullouts (with silverware partitions). The locker opposite the head has the foot high kick plate, and the small shelf. The whole thing drains to the bilge.
