1984 H31 Deck Organizer

HI all,
Has anyone upgraded the scheafer deck organizers on the H31. I want to install a double stack
in place of the original. If anyone has removed the organizer are the nuts embedded in the fiberglass? If they are it will make the modification a whole lot easier.

There is an aluminum plate inside the deck embedded in the fiberglass that the bolts tap into. Make sure that the lines that run through the upper sheaves will run under the sea hood. On my boat they do not but my understanding is that on some boats ('80's H31 and H34) they do. Go figure.

I had a local machine shop/rigger make a stacker set identical to the original. It was more expensive but i did not want to drill/tap new holes in the deck & aluminum plate below and allow for another moisture point. Was able to run all lines under the hood to addl clutches

forgot to mention, i could not locate the original set on the boat and looked all over the place before going the machine shop route. apparently the H31 originals are no longer made and the existing ones do not align with the hole pattern.

I don't want to hijack this thread but I wish Hunter had rotated the organizers so the inboard end is aft of the outboard end. It would have made a much better lead.

I switched to stacked deck organizers from Garhauer. Not the same bolt spacing as the old Mariman and Scheaffer organizers (Boat had one of each for some reason.). Re-used one hole, drilled and tapped one new hole, and filled the abandoned hole with epoxy.
