Pearson and Cal
John,I had a 1965 Cal, 1977 Cal, a 1977 Pearson and now a 1987 Pearson. I think they are equal. Each one has its good and bad points, but quality and strength are equal. Both are coastal sailors. We have sailed our Pearson 36 for over fifteen years now and have sailed from Texas/Mexico border to Maine without any problems, failures or breakdowns. The 28 was built from about 1975 untill 1982 if I remember correctly. It was then replaced by the 28-2 in 1985 or 6. I don't think there was a 208 or 280. There are three digit Pearsons starting with 303, etc., but not a 28.You can get a lot of Pearson data at:www.pearsoninfo.netHope you find this helpful.Daves/v ARIEL
