Does anybody have a ballpark starting point of what the rig tensions should be on an S2 11.0A? I don't think the P.O. had it right (too loose) but I don't want to over strain anything.
Also, how about that interior tie rod between the keel step and the cabin top? Does anybody ever adjust that? And how would you know when to adjust it?

Thanks for any words of wisdom.

do an INTERNET search on rig tension sailboat and you will find some very good and basic information on setting up and then go to the loos site and you will find a very good and simple way to set the tension using there gage ...it works on the same principal as the one i used to set aircraft cable tension back in the day of the fixed wing ...this is probably not the only way to do this but it will get you started in the right direction try to keep things a simple as you can life is a lot better that way ....hope this helps...

Thanks, guys. That Selden book is great!
I was looking more for specific starting numbers, although I know it's all relative, right?
One of the posts I saw in Google mentioned starting with the uppers and backstay at 10% of the boat's displacement. So, for the 11.0a, that would be around 1,500 lbs. Sounds good to me. Unfortunately, my old Loos gauge is just shy of accommodating the 5/16" wire. So I'll probably try that trick with the caliper and folding ruler.
I'll give it a shot and thanks again.
