Phase one buttoned up with a view of the battery connections. The additional connections to the + battery terminal are charging circuits.

Remember this is phase 1. I minimized the battery connections and added components for battery voltage and current monitoring. This is largely "temporary" as the next phase will move the AC and DC distribution panels to a new location. That big thing to the left of the buss bar unit is a shunt to measure the current in and out of the battery. The connection from the shunt goes to a Blue Sea Systems digital multimeter that will alarm for high and low voltage limits. The meter displays battery voltage and +/-amperage. (discharging or charging)

The rat's nest that was the original battery connection scheme. The goal is to upgrade the whole DC electrical system from original and add AC shore power with outlets with out taking the current system down during our sailing season.

All is in good condition for an old boat, so I haven't had the cushions redone. it's just boring. I need ideas. Am looking for some throw pillows and art for the walls.
