Picked up a small Hummingbird feeder in Comox. These guys would make any helicopter pilot green with envy. Exploring in Handfield Bay, part of Thurston Bay Marine Park.
That seems a bit mean Michael.
Encourage those little guy to leave their homes to follow your "sweet water" for a life on the open sea.
It is kind of like the Shanghaiing of the little fellows that went on in the 1800's down near the wharfs of many Ports.

Shoal Bay. At one time this was the largest European settlement north of San Francisco, more than 5000 people back when the gold mines were working, now just a couple of houses.
They were a little upset when I pulled up the anchor but left after a few yards. I like to think of us as a temporary flower rather than birdnappers.That seems a bit mean Michael.

We have seen a dozen+ little hummers swarming that feeder Mark keeps on the pub porch. Love that place !

Blind Bay, arrived this morning and we were 7 sailboats and 1 powerboat. Now we are all alone!
Took a walk up the forest trail at Blind Bay, not a Redwood but still a big tree.Western Red Cedar.
Onward through the Green Point Rapids and Whirlpool Rapids to ForwardHarbour.

Last night we anchored in Matilpi, an abandoned First Nations village. Nothing left but the shell midden.
Today we did some exploring in Call Inlet, found a couple of places to anchor in the Warren Island Group. A new place to explore next year. Tonight we are in Lagoon Cove, I think just for tonight. I’m told the Waggoner flotilla will arrive tomorrow and the place will be a zoo.
We were told as we landed here in Lagoon Cove that the Happy Hour in the old boat shed was cancelled due to high wind and cold. Our hosts arrived a few minutes ago with a big bowl of prawns and dipping sauce, and dessert too! Gotta love this marina!

How is the “old” resort on the other side of the ditch? Tied up there a few yrs ago along with some other and had some good dock parties. Have to watch where you walk though. Could fall through...some nice photo shots.
Had a look on the way past. Looks like someone is building new docks there. Maybe something in the works?
Now that you’re retired you’ll have lots of time to sail up here John. I think you will find it warmer where you are off to today but it won’t be any nicer. Enjoy Belize!
