Give these guys a shout.. they are your Yanmar distributor.. We recently rebuilt one using Yanmar parts and it was not expensive to do..

Claude,

The maintenance manual says I need a press to get it apart, is that so ? any
special tools needed to do this rebuild ?

Thanks,

Jules

i am not Claude but yes you do ....the guy in Oregon rebuilt mine for about $80.00 including shipping .....and all the parts are new.....give him a call and talk to him it seems to me to be the best solution ....the dang parts from Yanmar cost that much ...then you still have to take a chance on busting the housing when you press the old shaft out and the new shaft in ....

I rebuilt mine using a large vice and a socket from my socket set to press out and in the rubber bushing. Rebuilt took about an hour and cost about 60 for a rebuild kit from my local yanmar distributor. There is no real "kit". The distributor just told me he used the parts diagram and gave all of the parts.
