Without going to the expence of a full blown "Autopilot"...
Does anyone use a "Tillerlock" or special knotwork to hold the tiller when they go forward (hoist main, unbind jib, etc...) on the occasional singlehand sail...
Nothing long term or long distance, just the run up and secure the fender or snug a line.. Or will the boat hold a line long enough/steady enough to get up and back...I can't see that happening at all points of sail/conditions
