A question for Don and his posse of experts,
With the tack of my 150 genoa shackled directly to the bow fitting, the head (of the sail) is about 2' below the masthead along the forestay. Would there be any significant advantages or detriments to overall trimming of the sails or performance if the sail were rigged to hoist to the masthead? The clew presently rides about 2' above the rail mounted track while under sail. One thing I might have to do is extend my tracks further back to maintain my range of sheeting angles if the sail were hoisted to the limit. Any thoughts, wisdom or advice?
