We're in Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island on a mooring. My friend Chris & Tim R. Are on the well protected docks and some other friends are on a float/dock over on the Asticou side. Lot's of panic up here but I suspect it won't be nearly as bad as the week of hype we've had. Early on I told a friend I did not believe we'd break 40 knots of wind and I still believe that. That being said I do feel over prepared but we're not about to let Irene ruin our cruise..Maine Sail and Tim R, Where exactly are you anchored and what special preperations are you making. I am lucky to be in Lombos Hole, Harpswell, which is marked as a hurricane harbor. Just going to clear the decks and tie down the main and of course, take the anchor off the front.
