Keel is 6" wide at the Pin.

No I haven't contacted Rudy I think I'm just going to replace the pin with a stainless steel bolt and call it a day.

I need to get this boat in the water before I go insane.

It's already taken me way longer than I expected to rebuild the center board and shape it.

I don't blame you Bill for wanting to use your boat. The bolt should work. A friend of mine had to replace the pin on his Tanzer 22 keel and he used a stainless steel bolt. His centerboard was made of cast iron and he got it to work.

Ok.

Talked to Rudy while I had him on the phone about another issue. On the cast iron keels of that year the pin is driven in and out. There is not plate and wedge setup.

Stainless bolt is gonna work just fine :-D

Interesting! So some of the cast iron keels have "pins/bolts" some have the wedge/pin style? Good to know!

Stock there is no bolt involved. Just a press fit fiber pin.

Mine will have a very large stainless steel bolt as a replacement. Not as hydrodynamic but I'll survive.
