With tonight's waxing moon, I'm going sailing in Galveston Bay out of Kemah. I find it cooler, and it gives me a chance to practice light identification. How many enjoy night sailing?
Hear hear! The middle of a lake or a couple miles out in the ocean are ideal for stargazing. I find the darker hours also tend to scare the stink pots off the lake. With tonight's waxing moon, I'm going sailing in Galveston Bay out of Kemah. I am also a lover of night sailing, peaceful, mostly nobody out there, more stars than 'in town' at home. My lake is deep so it is not tough to stay off the rocky parts with a depth sounder.Hear hear! The middle of a lake or a couple miles out in the ocean are ideal for stargazing.
